Does HiLife offer any Special or Prescription Diets?

All nutritionally complete recipes from HiLife are formulated to meet the nutritional requirements of normal, healthy adult cats or dogs. There are also a limited number of products specifically formulated for puppies and kittens. By law we are prohibited from recommending or commenting on our products’ suitability for individual pets with special medical needs or animals under veterinary care. We are however able to provide nutritional information on each of our products for further discussion with your vet. Your TV ad show cat pouches with 60% tuna. What's the other 40%?

In HiLife pouches, there is only jelly – with a tiny bit of tapioca in the fish products - nothing else!

If there’s as little as 4% of the named ingredients in other brands of catfoods, what else is in it?

Please feel free to ask the competition! Generally “4%” relates to the variety name on the front of the pack – not the total meat content. E.g. A “with chicken” variety will contain at least 4% chicken but the rest may be a mixture of meat, meat by-products, cereals, jelly / gravy. BY LAW, all meat ingredients used in pet food MUST be from animals that have been passed FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. The PFMA (Petfood Manufacturers Association) has a very good explanation of what ingredients are used in pet foods. Contact www.pfma.org.uk for more details.
